Lenus Health, a leading provider of predictive AI solutions, is launching its heart failure diagnostic tool at Fleetwood Community Diagnostics Centre, part of the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Lancashire and South Cumbria Diagnostics Collaborative.
The deployment of the heart failure tool marks the first in a series of implementations of Lenus Health diagnostics products within CDCs. The company has entered into a direct contract with the trust, utilizing funds locally allocated under NHS England’s Community Diagnostic Centre Programme.
The pilot program aims to improve service efficiencies and reduce the waiting time for patients needing ECHO tests. It also seeks to make use of workflow automation software to streamline diagnostics pathways and establish digital foundations for home-based testing for certain conditions.
Expanding Disease Pathways
Lenus Diagnose, designed to automate clinical workflows and reduce time to diagnosis for various chronic conditions such as COPD and asthma, is among the three product lines offered by the company, according to CEO Paul McGinness.
Lenus’s broader vision aims to address the challenges and fragmentation of pathways within the NHS that make it difficult to implement innovative AI-driven diagnostic devices.
The company’s heart failure diagnostic tool aims to accelerate this process, providing valuable insights to address the challenges faced in diagnosing and managing patients with chronic conditions.
In addition to community care settings, the technology will also be deployed in secondary care settings by NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB, with support from funding provided by the NHS England Cardiac Network.
