Kettering General Hospital’s neurology department successfully reduced waiting lists by over 50% with the implementation of telemedicine technology. During a seven-week pilot using Consultant Connect technology, 1,001 referrals were triaged, resulting in 510 patients being removed from the list and provided with appropriate care plans. This initiative not only ensured patients received timely treatment but also alleviated pressure on specialists. The success of this project highlights the importance of using healthcare technology to address waiting list crises in hospitals.
