This annual competition recognizes cutting-edge design, excellence, and innovation in senior living. Here are some updates on what’s happening in the world of senior living construction:
Construction: Planned
FK Architecture has announced the grand opening of Ekos at Allegro, an independent affordable senior living community. This community offers 160 apartments in one-and-two-bedroom layouts for those 62 and older, catering to those between 30% and 60% of the local median household income. The community includes amenities such as a communal garden, swimming pool, fitness center, grilling stations, and a computer lab.

Oakmont Management Group is working on a new active adult development in Folsom, California called Anindell Active Adult Residences. The community will feature 154 apartment units with various floor plans and access to the LiveWell at Anindell lifestyle program. Amenities will include private balconies, a fitness center, outdoor pool with barbecue grills, and more.
Transforming Age has started a new senior living community project in Kirkland, Washington called Parkshore Juanita Bay. This LEED Platinum-certified retirement community will feature 50 independent living units and emphasize sustainability. Residents will have access to eco-friendly amenities and continuing care through Transforming Age.

Cogir Senior Living and Ryan Companies US have opened Cogir of South Bay in Torrance, California. This resort-style senior living community includes 158 units for independent and assisted living, along with amenities such as multiple dining venues, fitness center, theater, salon, outdoor pool, and more.
