Presbyterian Homes expanding and renovating community in Illinois
Presbyterian Homes has announced a major expansion project at The Moorings of Arlington Heights near Chicago. The project, slated for completion in 2027, includes the addition of 70 new independent living units with underground parking. In conjunction with this, the community will also refresh its dining spaces and common areas for existing independent living residents.
The project has enlisted the expertise of Perkins Eastman, Plante Moran Living Forward, The Lakota Group, Skender, and other consultants. Residents and local community members have actively participated in town hall discussions regarding this expansion.

Cedarhurst Senior Living breaks ground in Indiana
Cedarhurst Senior Living has initiated construction on Cedarhurst of Crown Point, Indiana. This two-story, 72,000 square-foot community will feature 59 assisted living apartments and 24 memory care suites on a sprawling 20-acre property.
Offering modern living spaces with amenities such as a fitness center, yoga studio, wellness programs, and gourmet dining, this project also includes outdoor seating areas for residents.
Legacy Senior Communities to expand in Texas
The Legacy Senior Communities is set to enhance its independent living offerings at The Legacy Willow Bend in Plano, Texas through the addition of luxury units. The expansion will introduce 30 new independent living units and revamp various aspects of the current campus, including new amenity spaces and “hybrid-style luxury flats.”
These upscale units, designed by HKS Architects, will offer spacious layouts exceeding 2,000 square feet. Featuring corner views and two-bedroom concepts, each unit will include open living spaces, large bedrooms, walk-in closets, walk-in pantries, laundry rooms, and designer finishes.
Reservations for these luxurious units are now being accepted, with move-ins projected for Spring 2026.
