Students enrolled in the Digital Health Leadership Programme (DHLP) at Imperial College London now have the opportunity to register with the Federation for Informatics Professionals in Health and Social Care (FEDIP). This registration allows them to receive structured professional recognition and accountability that align with established healthcare roles.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Health Leadership has been tailored to meet FEDIP’s professional standards framework, enabling DHLP alumni to apply for registration as Advanced Practitioners. Andrew Griffiths, CEO of FEDIP, emphasized the importance of equipping digital leaders with the necessary skills to develop and maintain high-quality digital services for public safety.
FEDIP accreditation ensures that change leaders in health and care work a high level of accountability when implementing digital solutions. The involvement of six professional bodies under the FEDIP umbrella further supports this initiative.
The DHLP, created in partnership with the NHS Digital Academy, aims to equip individuals with essential digital health leadership skills. Ruth Holland, deputy CIO at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, highlighted the significance of professional registration for participants in the programme to maintain high standards in healthcare technology.
The recruitment window for the upcoming cohort is open until 25 April 2024.
