The Masters in Public Administration (MPA) program in Environmental Science and Policy at Columbia University is seeking teaching assistants (TAs) for its summer 2024 courses. Various positions are available, including Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology/Risk Assessment, Climatology and Hydrology, and Principles of Ecology and Urban Ecology.
Time Commitment and Responsibilities:
The positions require an average of 20 hours per week, totaling approximately 240 hours for the summer. TAs will attend lectures, lead lab sections, assist with field trips, grade assignments, and work closely with professors to prepare course material.
Position Descriptions:
Each course runs for 12 weeks and requires knowledge in specific areas such as environmental chemistry, climatology, hydrology, and ecology. Graduate-level student applicants with teaching experience are preferred.

Time Commitment & Responsibilities:
The course covers mathematical concepts and GIS over 12 weeks. TAs are expected to assist in answering questions during class hours.
