Allyson Felix, the most-decorated track and field athlete ever, has officially retired after her last race in 2022. Instead, she is using her influential voice to advocate for greater visibility and support for female athletes.
In a recent interview, Felix expressed the need for increased accessibility to women’s sports. She believes that by showcasing the excitement and talent of female athletes, more fans would be drawn to watch and support women’s sports leagues like the WNBA and NWSL.
Felix has also joined campaigns like Cracker Jack’s Cracker Jill to shine a spotlight on women’s sports and the incredible athletes involved. By sharing the stories of these athletes, she hopes to inspire a new generation of fans and participants.
Besides her advocacy work, Felix has ventured into entrepreneurship with her shoe brand, Saysh, and is also embracing her new role as a sports parent to her daughter, Camryn. Through her varied experiences and achievements, Felix continues to push for more representation and visibility in women’s sports.
