The North-West London Digital Inclusion programme, led by CW+, has been a success, providing digital inclusion services to over 2,000 vulnerable individuals in the region. The £1.1 million programme, funded by CW+, included three digital inclusion pilots as part of the NHS Charities Together Stage 2 Covid Recovery Programme. These pilots aimed to provide digital access to health, care, and community resources for those lacking digital literacy skills. The pilots, which included DigitALL, Powering Recovery, and Hiyos Live Channel, targeted specific groups and provided training, data, and devices to improve wellbeing and quality of life. An evaluation by Imperial College Health Partners found that the pilots led to significant improvements in internet use and wellbeing levels for participants. Chris Chaney, chief executive of CW+, expressed gratitude to partners for their work and highlighted the importance of digital literacy training in addressing health inequalities. The success of the DigitALL pilot also led to its recognition as one of the 10 finalists for the Digital Skills or Talent Initiative of the Year category in the Digital Leaders 100 awards show.
