UPMC (Pittsburgh) has commenced construction on the Hillman Cancer Center at Zabok General Hospital in Croatia, just 25 miles from Zagreb, the country’s capital city, as reported by inside.upmc.com.
The state-of-the-art cancer center aims to offer advanced radiation oncology, medical oncology, and PET-CT diagnostics to patients in Croatia as well as neighboring countries such as Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina.
The center is scheduled to open its doors in 2025, providing much-needed cancer care services to the region.
