Atria Senior Living, a leading senior living provider in the U.S., has made the decision to close down its home care business in New York state. This move is part of Atria’s focus on their core business of social model senior living communities. The closure will impact 161 employees and is set to take effect on January 8, 2025, due to economic reasons. Atria is not alone in this decision, as other providers have also shut down home care arms to prioritize their core senior living operations.
Despite the closure of Atria Home Care, Atria continues to operate over 200 senior living communities across the U.S. and Canada. The company has undergone various changes, including a new CEO and leadership team appointments, as well as transitions in its portfolio. Atria remains committed to its strategy of serving different price points in the senior living market while exploring growth opportunities and innovations in the sales experience.
