United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (ULTH) has chosen Nervecentre as its preferred electronic patient record (EPR) supplier.
After a thorough tender process, the trust’s board approved Insight Direct (UK) to implement the Nervecentre solution, pending contract and national business case approval.
Michael Humber, chief digital information officer at ULTH, expressed excitement over the selection of the preferred supplier, highlighting the transformative impact the EPR will have on patient services and healthcare staff.
Humber emphasized the trust’s investment in digital infrastructure as part of the EPR program, ensuring a robust technology platform for improved patient care and safety.
Daren Fradgley, group chief integration officer at ULTH, highlighted NHS England’s investment in digitization and the importance of having a digital foundation for sustainable health and social care.
Dr. Colin Farquharson, group chief medical officer, described the EPR as providing modern tools for NHS staff to access patient data in real-time, promoting efficiency and patient safety.
The announcement follows similar decisions by other NHS trusts, including York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals, Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, Nottingham University Hospitals, University Hospitals of Derby and Burton, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, and Northampton General Hospital, to select Nervecentre as their preferred EPR supplier.
