The couple, desperate to conceive after years of failed attempts, sought help. Despite their youth and good health, the issue seemed to stem from the husband’s low semen count. Through a process of deduction and analysis, it was discovered that he suffered from ejaculatory duct obstruction.
Utilizing Occam’s razor, a simple yet effective approach, the root cause was identified and a solution proposed. The obstruction was confirmed through ultrasound, leading to successful treatment via a minimally invasive procedure known as transurethral resection of the ejaculatory ducts (TURED). Following the procedure, the couple experienced a significant increase in semen volume and sperm motility, ultimately resulting in a successful pregnancy.
