The Perennial Consortium has expanded its value-based care initiative with the addition of HumanGood, the No. 6 largest senior living nonprofit in the U.S. based in Duarte, California. HumanGood joined the consortium in late August, purchasing shares previously owned by Christian Living Communities (CLC). The consortium advocates for value-based care plans to help senior living operators set up their own plans, with the goal of helping residents age in place. Lynne Katzmann, founder and CEO of Juniper Communities, highlighted HumanGood’s national scale and continuum of care, including affordable senior housing, as valuable additions to the organization. HumanGood President and CEO John Cochrane has joined the board of directors, bringing expertise to continue driving the mission forward. The collaboration aims to increase operational efficiencies and provide high-quality and innovative senior care. This partnership exemplifies the industry’s trend towards value-based care, with other operators also engaging in similar initiatives to improve care outcomes.
