Many women feel pressured to bounce back after giving birth, facing societal expectations to lose weight immediately. Demi Moore recently shared her extreme approach to postpartum weight loss, revealing that she biked 60 miles a day to get back in shape.
In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, the actress opened up about the pressure she put on herself to shed the baby weight quickly. She recounted her intense biking routine while filming “Indecent Proposal,” biking 30 miles each way to the set.
Moore admitted to feeling embarrassed and humiliated by the pressure to lose weight postpartum, biking extensively to meet those expectations. She revealed the toll it took on her body and the unrealistic standards she imposed on herself.

Moore’s experience highlights the pressure many women face to regain their pre-baby bodies. While it’s disheartening, the trend of women sharing their struggles and being more open about their postpartum journeys is empowering. Despite the hardships, Moore now lives her life authentically and inspires others to do the same.
Demi Moore and her ex-husband Bruce Willis are parents to three daughters: Rumer Glenn (1988), Scout LaRue (1991), and Tallulah Belle (1994).
