The Bridge Street Practice in North Lincolnshire has successfully implemented a new EMIS functionality, making it easier for clinicians to access the Yorkshire and Humber Care Record.
This functionality, launched on 30 July 2024, allows for seamless access to the shared care record directly from the EMIS toolbar, eliminating the need for separate logins to external portals.
Jointly developed by EMIS, Interweave, and the Humber and North Yorkshire shared care record delivery team, this new feature streamlines the process for healthcare providers across the region.
Dr. Abdur-Rauff Mahroof from Bridge Street Practice expressed the convenience of having instant access to vital information from various healthcare settings with just a single click within EMIS.
With approximately 20 practices in the Humber and North Yorkshire area using EMIS, efforts are underway to roll out this enhanced functionality to all practices, with Whitby Group Practice next in line.
The ongoing commitment to improving access to shared care records reflects the healthcare community’s dedication to enhancing patient care and efficiency in clinical settings.
Expanding on this progress, recent initiatives such as the integration of the Yorkshire and Humber Shared Care Record at Saint Catherine’s Hospice and the adoption of a digital patient communication platform by Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust highlight the region’s commitment to embracing innovative solutions.
