In early October, Senior living nonprofits Tabitha and Eventide Senior Living Communities have reached an agreement to affiliate. Eventide, based in Moorehead, Minnesota, will operate as the parent company, combining resources with Tabitha for greater efficiency.
After six months of discussions, Tabitha’s President and CEO, Brian Shanks, expressed optimism about the affiliation, stating, “We will be stronger together by pooling resources and collaborating.” Both organizations will remain leaders in senior care, offering a range of services including active adult, independent living, and home health.
Upon completion of the affiliation, the combined organization will serve 2,300 residents with approximately 2,200 employees. Eventide’s President and CEO, Jon Riewer, emphasized the shared commitment to advancing senior care and the synergies that come from combining their strengths and resources.
With a focus on Nebraska, western Minnesota, and eastern North Dakota, the organizations aim to enhance their reach while upholding a commitment to excellence in senior services. Both Tabitha and Eventide are strategically positioning themselves for success during the early stages of the affiliation process.
