Slide 2

Bladder leakage is very common. Studies show that 1 in 2 women will experience urinary incontinence (bladder leakage) at some point in their lives. Each type of bladder leakage presents with unique symptoms and can be managed differently.

Slide 3

Stress incontinence

  • Your bladder leaks when pressure is exerted on it, such as during coughing, sneezing, laughing, exercising, or intimacy.

Slide 4

Urge incontinence/Urgency incontinence

  • You experience a sudden, urgent need to urinate and lose control of your bladder. This may lead to frequent urination, including at night, and can be associated with an overactive bladder.

Slide 5

Overflow incontinence

  • Your bladder does not completely empty, resulting in frequent or constant dribbling.

Slide 6

Functional incontinence

  • You may not reach the toilet in time due to health conditions or obstacles, such as arthritis or Parkinson’s disease.

Slide 7

Mixed incontinence

  • You may experience a combination of stress and urge incontinence, with most cases being a mix of both.

Slide 8 & 9

Bladder leakage can be effectively managed or treated.

Treatment options depend on the type of incontinence and may include bladder leakage products like pads and underwear, dietary adjustments, bladder training, pelvic floor therapy, medications, and surgical or non-surgical procedures.

Slide 10

If you have questions about bladder leakage, consult your healthcare provider for personalized guidance and a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
