After CEO Terry Rogers left his role as the top leader of Westminster Communities of Florida, CFO Hank Keith has stepped in as the interim leader. With 32 years of experience at Westminster, Keith was appointed to lead the organization on Aug. 29. The board of directors is now on the lookout for a new CEO. Westminster Board Chair John Hillenmeyer expressed confidence in Keith’s leadership abilities during this transition. Despite the change, the organization remains operationally stable, with Fitch reaffirming its A- bond rating and a 92% occupancy rate in its life plan communities. Westminster is expanding with new villa homes and townhomes and plans for growth in other communities across the state. The organization’s focus areas include infrastructure, digital transformation, affiliations and acquisitions, diversification of business lines, and promoting a culture of healthy aging. Rogers’ departure marks the end of his three-year tenure as CEO. As the 11th largest senior living operator in the country, Westminster serves around 7,000 residents in 23 communities in Florida. Last year, the organization affiliated with Presbyterian Homes of Florida in Lakeland.
