As narrated by Jacquelyne Froeber
A few years ago, I experienced an unexpected bladder leakage incident at home. It was a reminder of my past struggles with urinary incontinence due to a traumatic car accident. Despite overcoming those challenges and living an active life, changes in my body during perimenopause brought those issues back.
Managing bladder leakage became a daily struggle, especially with my job in in-home healthcare. This led me to rely on bladder leakage pads for added protection, as unpredictable leaks became more frequent.
After seeking medical advice, I learned about the importance of pelvic floor therapy and proper bladder training techniques. Despite the challenges, I remain hopeful that with the right support and management strategies, I can regain control over my bladder health and return to a more carefree lifestyle.
Urinary incontinence may feel like a full-time job, but with perseverance and the right resources, it is possible to navigate this journey with grace.
