The construction of Good Shepherd, an affordable senior living community in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has commenced. This community, spanning 53,000 square feet, aims to provide 55 one-bedroom apartments for older adults with incomes ranging from 20% to 60% of the area’s median household income.
Amenities at Good Shepherd include a fitness center, management suite, multi-purpose community room, outdoor patio, and versatile event space.
Construction Continues for Morning Pointe in Tennessee
Progress continues at The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence in East Hamilton, Tennessee. This senior living addition, slated to open in early 2025, represents Morning Pointe Senior Living’s 42nd community and the 25th in Tennessee.
The community’s enhanced services will cater to early-stage dementia care, featuring 60 new apartments dedicated to various forms of dementia. Embracing Teepa Snow’s dementia care framework, the memory care community will offer music, art, and cuddle therapies for residents’ well-being.
Once The Lantern is operational, the original East Hamilton community will exclusively cater to assisted living residents.

Kisco Senior Living Community Opens in Maryland
The Carnegie at Washingtonian Center, a Kisco Senior Living community, is now welcoming residents in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Boasting over 300 one- and two-bedroom residences across seven stories on an expansive 8.5-acre property.
At The Carnegie, residents can enjoy diverse dining options, a wellness spa, a fitness center, an indoor heated saltwater pool, a lecture hall, an art gallery, and a cooking demonstration kitchen. The community is also enveloped by an outdoor park and trails.
Thrive Senior Living Adds Three Communities in Georgia
Thrive Senior Living has unveiled three new At Home Senior Living communities in Georgia. Managed by Thrive Senior Living, these communities in Thompson, Jesup, and Cochran offer a mix of assisted living units, memory care suites, and independent living residences alongside on-site amenities like a hair salon, vintage ice cream parlor, and well-appointed fitness center.
