East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust Makes History by Adopting Dedalus ORBIS U EPR
East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is paving the way as the first trust in the UK to implement the cutting-edge Dedalus ORBIS U electronic patient record (EPR) system.
With ORBIS U, the trust’s four hospitals will now have access to digitized patient information, including medical history, diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, allergies, radiology images, and laboratory test results.
This cloud-ready EPR system from Dedalus comprises over 40 integrated clinical modules that support healthcare providers in making informed decisions, accelerating diagnoses, and enhancing patient care.
Mark Stanton, Chief Information Officer at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Foundation Trust, expressed the importance of this digital transformation, stating, “Deploying ORBIS U is a significant step for us and aligns with our vision for advancing patient care.”
The implementation of ORBIS U is expected to streamline processes, enhance data security, and improve communication within the trust. Chief Clinical Information Officer, Roxana Bostina, highlighted the system’s potential to revolutionize patient flow and optimize operational efficiency.
Dedalus announced the switch from Lorenzo EPR to ORBIS, with ORBIS U being the latest evolution of the system that has seen successful installations across Europe. The renewed partnership with Dedalus underscores East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust’s commitment to leveraging innovative technology for better healthcare outcomes.
