GP out of hours service provider, BrisDoc, is set to introduce an electronic patient management (EPM) system to enhance their urgent care services.
The CLEO Core EPM is scheduled to be operational at the SevernSide Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) service by March 2025, with the transition process already underway.
Key features of the EPM system include clinical triage, digital appointment booking, and robust data reporting capabilities.
Dr. Kathy Ryan, medical director at BrisDoc, emphasized that the selection of the CLEO system followed a thorough assessment of various options available in the market.
She stated, “This strategic move reflects our dedication to delivering innovative, efficient, and patient-centric care.”
Dr. Ryan further noted, “CLEO CORE not only aligns with our clinical requirements but also offers a progressive approach that will support our future development and technological advancements.”
The implementation of CLEO Core in 2025 will undergo user acceptance testing at BrisDoc SevernSide starting October 2024 to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption.
According to Dr. Ryan, “Our teams are fully committed to ensuring a seamless transition that maximizes benefits for both our patients and staff.”
BrisDoc, a socially owned enterprise, caters to over a million patients annually in Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.
Their SevernSide IUC offers round-the-clock emergency services by integrating NHS 111 with other urgent care facilities, enabling patients to consult with a clinician outside regular GP practice hours.
David Brown, the managing director at CLEO Systems, expressed enthusiasm about BrisDoc joining the CLEO Systems community.
He stated, “This partnership underscores our commitment to continuous innovation and collaboration with organizations sharing our goal of enhancing the safety, efficiency, and overall experience of individuals accessing urgent care services.”
In a similar vein, Greenwich Health successfully deployed CLEO Systems’ integrated urgent care system, CLEO Core UTC, at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in July 2023.
