Healthtech-1 Secures £2.7 Million in Seed Funding
Healthtech-1, a finalist in the Digital Health Rewired Pitchfest, has successfully raised £2.7 million in a seed funding round. The funding was led by London-based VC Moonfire and Silicon Valley accelerator Y Combinator.
The startup focuses on automating administration tasks in primary care and has already implemented its solution in 721 GP practices in England, a significant increase from just 10 practices in May 2022.
Co-founded by Peter Huang, a former Monzo web engineer, and Raj Kohli, an ex-Accenture consultant, Healthtech-1 aims to revolutionize the healthcare industry. The team aspires to be operational in over 90% of the market by the end of 2025.
Healthtech-1’s innovative solution conducts identity checks against NHS records, streamlines data entry, and highlights areas where practices can improve attention, such as safeguarding protocols.
The company is also developing a second product, Automated Lab Reports, which has already automated a significant number of test results in various GP practices.
With the cancellation of the £300 million digital pathways framework by NHSE in June 2024, Healthtech-1’s cutting-edge technologies become even more crucial in driving the transition to modern general practice models.
Through advanced digital telephony, online contact tools, and streamlined workflows, Healthtech-1 is at the forefront of revolutionizing patient access to healthcare services.
