Ebenezer, a nonprofit senior living provider based in Edina, Minnesota, has announced Brett Anderson as their new CEO and President, with his first day scheduled for next month. This appointment follows the retirement of Jon Lundberg, the previous CEO and president. Lundberg, who has been in the role since 2017, will step down in September.
Anderson joins Ebenezer from Ecumen, a senior living operator in Shoreview, Minnesota, where he served as senior vice president and chief operations and strategy officer for nearly a decade. He is set to lead Ebenezer starting on July 29, bringing with him a wealth of experience in senior services.
Expressing his excitement, Anderson stated, “I am honored to join Ebenezer, a renowned organization known for its commitment to excellence and compassionate care. I am eager to collaborate with the dedicated staff, residents, and families to further enhance the lives of older adults under Ebenezer’s strong foundation.”
Scott Wordelman, Chair of Ebenezer Board of Directors, emphasized Anderson’s extensive leadership experience in senior services, aligning with Ebenezer’s values. With over 120 communities across six states, Ebenezer continues to be a leading provider of senior living services.
Prior to joining Ebenezer, Anderson was recognized as one of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s 40 Leaders Under 40, showcasing his leadership abilities. His appointment comes after a failed merger attempt between Ebenezer’s parent entity, Fairview Health Services, and Sanford Health in 2023, which faced challenges from regulators and stakeholders.
