This content was shared with Jacquelyne Froeber about 15 years ago when I fell ill. It all started with strep throat and then mono, leaving me completely drained. Despite trying to power through as a busy mom, I couldn’t shake off the fever. After being diagnosed with Epstein-Barr virus, my life turned upside down. I spent years bedridden, feeling like my vitality was stolen. Eventually, I was diagnosed with POTS, a condition that explained my fatigue and heat intolerance. Moving to a cooler climate in Michigan made a huge difference in my health. While there’s no cure for POTS, finding a diagnosis brought me clarity and the ability to make necessary lifestyle changes. My journey has taught me to believe in myself and to never give up in seeking answers. My husband has been my unwavering support throughout this ordeal. If you’re struggling with unexplained symptoms, don’t give up and consider asking for a tilt table test. Sometimes, turning your world upside down is the key to finding relief.
