Welltower has made the decision to transition 89 senior living communities managed by Atria to six new operators: Arrow Senior Living, Cogir, Discovery Senior Living, QSL, Sagora, and StoryPoint.
Currently, 27 of the properties have already been transitioned by Welltower, with plans to complete the remaining transitions in the third quarter of this year. This strategic move aims to create strong geographical density with top regional operating partners in the U.S. who have a successful track record in the respective markets.
Welltower’s recent acquisition of 86 former Holiday properties, valued at $1.58 billion, played a key role in this transition. Alongside this acquisition, Atria took over the management services of the previous operator. The transition process is ongoing and updates will be provided as the story unfolds.
