WCBR names president, CEO
Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge has named Tyler Kendall as its president and CEO effective July 8, 2024.
Kendall will succeed Gary Selmeczi upon his retirement following a 19-year career in service to the WCBR community, according to a press release.
Kendall previously served as vice president of post-acute care services with the Hamilton Health Care System and director of operations and administrator with the Mary E. Bivins Foundation.
Lifespace Communities hires VP of human resources
Lifespace Communities has announced the hiring of Maria Mercer as vice president of human resources, effective May 13.
The role has been recently restructured, and Mercer will provide comprehensive human resources leadership to support Lifespace in its continued advancement to be the leader in attracting and retaining top talent, fostering an outstanding work environment and achieving robust business results, according to a press release.
Mercer previously worked for Hewlett Packard and Electronic Data Systems, and most recently served as vice president of global human resources and mergers and acquisitions at global tax firm Ryan.
National Church Residences promotes three leaders
National Church Residences announced the promotions of Brianna Mettler, Julie Woolley, and Carrie Dean to leadership roles within the organization on May 15.
According to a press release, Mettler and Woolley have been promoted to senior vice presidents. Mettler joined National Church Residences in 2006 and oversees operations for all senior service and senior living departments.
Wooley joined the organization in 2017 as associate general counsel and now manages the in-house legal team.
Dean has been promoted to vice president of development closings. Dean joined the team in 2016 and now leads a team of five staff members responsible for closing low-income housing tax credit-financed projects, acquisitions, and select refinance transactions.
