Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust is set to launch Netcall’s patient engagement portal in autumn 2024, aiming to empower patients to have more control over their healthcare journeys. The digital service, called Patient Hub, offers various features such as appointment notifications, waiting list validation, patient-initiated follow-up, and integration with the NHS App. This deployment is expected to help patients manage their care better, reduce administrative burdens on staff, and increase capacity at the trust. Paula Brennan, digital programme manager at Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust, expressed excitement about the innovative solution and its potential to improve communication and elevate the quality of care at Liverpool Women’s Hospital. She emphasized the importance of patient empowerment and inclusion in the digital journey. John Clarke, head of client solutions in health at Netcall, highlighted how the patient engagement portal will streamline communication and engagement with patients, enabling them to take control of their healthcare journey. With Netcall’s track record of sending millions of notifications for NHS customers and saving trusts millions of pounds, the solution has already been successfully deployed at other NHS trusts. Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust recently went live with the MEDITECH Expanse electronic patient record in July 2023.
