Interview with Lisa Moes, Vice President of Business Development at Dial Senior Living, sponsored by Accushield.

Senior Housing News (SHN): What career experiences have shaped your role today?

Lisa Moes (LM): My background in operations has been instrumental in driving efficiency and productivity in our business. I continually assess our tools to ensure they meet our needs and integrate seamlessly into our daily operations, a mindset I apply to navigate challenges in the senior living industry.

SHN: Why did Dial Senior Living choose to implement Accushield across its communities?

LM: COVID highlighted the need for automated tools to manage populations. Accushield offers efficiencies in security, discretion, and overall automation. The system simplifies visitor sign-ins, enhances emergency response, and provides a centralized repository of information for privacy and security.

SHN: What operational efficiencies have you seen since implementing Accushield?

LM: Front desk staff can now greet visitors in a personal manner while eliminating physical logbooks or paper. The system provides quick access to visitor data for emergencies, streamlining response efforts. Additionally, Accushield serves as a repository for health services data, improving care plan management and resident engagement.

SHN: How has visitor feedback and Google reviews through Accushield enhanced the community experience?

LM: The reputation accelerator tool captures real-time feedback that executive directors use to drive improvements. First impressions are crucial, and Accushield helps ensure a five-star experience for visitors and prospective residents. This feedback loop promotes proactive business management and continuous quality improvement.

SHN: What value does the resident sign-out process bring to Dial Senior Living’s safety measures?

LM: Accushield’s resident sign-out process enhances safety and security by tracking who is in and out of the building. The system includes check-out procedures that alert staff to potential concerns, such as elopement issues, improving overall resident safety.

SHN: How has Accushield evolved over the years and impacted Dial Senior Living and the senior living industry?

LM: Accushield’s focus on solving specific issues has evolved into a comprehensive solution that enhances operational efficiency, security, and visitor experience. The system’s continuous improvements drive positive change within our organization and contribute to industry-wide advancements in senior living technology.
