Spark TSL Enhances Healthcare Technology with Acquisition of Sentean Group
WiFi and communications provider Spark TSL has announced the acquisition of Dutch company Sentean Group, bringing its Fusion Bedside platform to the UK healthcare market. This move will provide NHS trusts with a unique platform to accelerate innovation, improve operational efficiency, and enhance patient education and engagement.
The Fusion Bedside platform offers fast and scalable connectivity solutions for hospitals, aiding in their digital maturity. With access to Spark TSL’s resources and WiFi capabilities, Sentean Group can further expand its presence in the Dutch market, where it currently serves around 40% of hospitals.
Spark TSL CEO Matt O’Donovan expressed excitement about the acquisition, highlighting the platform’s integrations and ability to deliver advanced apps for clinicians and patients. The company aims to revolutionize patient care delivery by combining Fusion Bedside with Spark Connect WiFi and Spark Media entertainment package to create a comprehensive bedside and bring-your-own-device solution.
Since acquiring Hospedia in 2021, Spark TSL has been working on a new business model to enhance hospital productivity. By offering communication and entertainment services free of charge, the company aims to promote seamless patient experiences and streamline operations.
With the addition of Sentean Group, Spark TSL plans to develop a digital platform for hospitals to deploy a wide range of communication and entertainment services, along with time-saving apps for staff. Sentean Group Managing Director Willem-Jan te Riele sees great potential in expanding Fusion Bedside to the UK market and leveraging Spark TSL’s network for growth.
O’Donovan believes that the acquisition will drive significant digital transformation in healthcare, leading to service improvements, cost savings, and increased patient engagement. The collaboration between Spark TSL and Sentean Group promises exciting developments in the healthcare technology sector.
