U.S. News has recently unveiled its third annual “Best Senior Living” list, recognizing top companies like Brookdale Senior Living, LCS, and Brightview Senior Living. Out of over 3,500 communities surveyed, 1,703 were acknowledged as the best in categories such as independent living, assisted living, memory care, and continuing care retirement communities.
The evaluation criteria included resident and family satisfaction with safety, care, management, staff, value, and amenities. Independent living community scores were based on resident responses, while families also provided input for assisted living and memory care.
Several senior living operators stood out this year for having a high number of communities with a “best” ranking. Cindy Baier from Brookdale Senior Living emphasized the importance of person-centered care and creating a sense of community for residents. LCS President Chris Bird highlighted the unique mission of each community to create the best senior living experience possible.
Brightview Senior Living focuses on its associates, leading to better service and genuine connections with residents. By offering a high level of hospitality and flexibility, Brightview ensures that residents maintain their independence and enjoy a lifestyle tailored to their needs and wants.
Additionally, the list showcases the top 10 metros with the most recognized communities, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Seattle, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C.
