This invaluable team serves as a go-to resource for troubleshooting tech issues and offering guidance on using devices and programs in personalized Zoom sessions.

Let’s introduce you to a few of the dedicated volunteers…

Tim, 66, Texas

Why do you volunteer for the hotline?

I find joy in utilizing my extensive knowledge of technology and software to help others. It’s fulfilling to witness the breakthrough moments when individuals resolve their tech issues with my assistance, akin to the “teach a man to fish” proverb.

Andi, 68, Illinois

Why do you volunteer for the hotline?

With a background in elementary education, technology executive roles, and as a former Apple Retail Specialist, I derive immense satisfaction from witnessing the “aha” moments when individuals grasp technological concepts. My passion lies in helping individuals overcome their tech fears.

What does “aging with attitude” mean to you?

“Aging with attitude” involves embracing life to the fullest, drawing wisdom from accumulated experiences, approaching each day with positivity, and committing to learning something new daily.

Steve, 68, Florida

Why do you volunteer for the hotline?

I allocate my time and skills towards volunteering for organizations that enhance people’s lives. Volunteering at Senior Planet enables me to utilize my tech skills to empower individuals and make a positive impact on their lives. Additionally, I volunteer as an instructor for AARP Driver Safety courses, cherishing the opportunity to give back.

What does “aging with attitude” mean to you?

For me, “aging with attitude” signifies not letting age dictate my choices. It involves recognizing the value of my life experiences, seeking growth opportunities, and using my skills and knowledge to enrich the lives of fellow mature adults.

For tech assistance, call Senior Planet’s Hotline, Monday through Friday, 9am to 8pm EST.
