SilverCloud is collaborating with the NHS in a decade-long partnership to provide timely mental health care at every stage of intervention.
The SilverCloud by Amwell 4-stage package is now equipped to deliver digital therapy for steps 1, 2, and 3 of the NHS Talking Therapies, ensuring more patients have access to the mental health support they require.
From 2017 to 2022, mental health referrals to the NHS have surged by 44%, while the mental health workforce has only grown by 22% during the same period. This disparity highlights the growing need for mental health services and the importance of digital solutions in addressing waiting lists.
Patients in step 1 can utilize self-management tools from SilverCloud, while those in step 2 have access to online cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) supported by practitioners. Step 3 support from SilverCloud includes tools for complex conditions and enhancing therapy sessions.
The comprehensive SilverCloud services now include a digital referral pathway, self-management toolkit, mental health programs, and therapy tools, providing seamless transitions between face-to-face and digital therapy.
With interventions tailored to different levels of mental health difficulties, SilverCloud can effectively address a wide range of issues, offering vital support for patients awaiting face-to-face therapy.
In addition to its partnership with the NHS, SilverCloud has previously collaborated with Ireland’s Health Service Executive (HSE) on the National Digital Mental Health Programme.
