Irish actress Roma Downey, 63, is making a return to television with her new family drama series, The Baxters, 21 years after the end of her beloved show Touched by an Angel. Alongside her producer husband Mark Burnett, she has been busy creating faith-based content and writing books. The inspiration for The Baxters came from Karen Kingsbury’s book series, which Roma couldn’t put down. The show aims to fill the void left by Touched by an Angel by focusing on love, strength, and hope. Roma also stars alongside her daughter Reilly Anspaugh in the series, which highlights a loving and committed family dynamic. Despite a busy career, Roma finds time for hobbies like painting, gardening, and learning the cello and French. She emphasizes the importance of gratitude and prayer in maintaining a positive attitude. The Baxters is available on Amazon Prime Video from March 28.
