NHS Wales Partners with Promptly Health for Patient-Centred Data Initiative
NHS Wales has announced Promptly Health as its technological partner for a nationwide project focused on collecting and harmonising patient-centred outcomes data. This collaboration aims to improve patient outcomes in Wales by leveraging data-driven insights and prioritizing patient needs.
Promptly Health was selected from five initial shortlisted companies for the £11m National Framework, with the contract running for an initial three years and the possibility of a two-year extension. Pedro Ramos, CEO of Promptly Health, expressed the company’s commitment to enhancing health outcomes and supporting shared decision-making between patients and healthcare professionals.
NHS Wales’ innovative approach to healthcare service delivery has garnered global recognition, with a focus on collecting patient-centred outcomes since 2019. The partnership with Promptly Health will expand the capabilities for outcomes collection and enhance interoperability with digital health products, such as the NHS Portal.
This initiative aligns with the industry’s emphasis on real-world evidence, data interoperability, and secure data environments. It sets a precedent for similar advancements in healthcare systems across the UK and Europe.
