“Volleyball remains a significant part of my life, but my world has transformed for the better since my time in the Summer Games,” Klineman tells Well + Good. “Becoming a mother over a year ago and preparing to marry in Italy later this summer are incredible milestones. While competing in the Olympics was a dream come true, I’m excited for this next chapter with my family.”

Here’s a glimpse into Alix Klineman’s off-the-court activities.

1. Hosting Friends and Family

Klineman cherishes hosting watch parties for friends and family, appreciating the support and emotion shared from a distance. She’s not only hosting her own watch parties for the Paris Olympics but also partnering with Total Wine & More to offer a Summer Games Watch Party Guide, featuring her favorite cocktails and hosting tips.

“A Hugo spritz is my go-to cocktail this summer for its refreshing and light qualities that suit any gathering,” she shares. A Hugo spritz is made with 4 parts Prosecco, half part St. Germain, 1 part club soda, and mint.

2. Prioritizing Self-Care

For Klineman, self-care involves spending time with loved ones, cooking homemade meals, enjoying walks by the beach at sunset with her fiancé and son, and treating herself to facials at her favorite local spa.

3. Stocking up on Essentials

Klineman always keeps a good bottle of white wine at home, preferring Domaine Chatelain Petit Chablis or L’Etincelle Sancerre. After training, she relies on Normatec boots for leg recovery and reaches for her Revlon blow-dry brush to manage her naturally wavy hair.

You can catch the Olympics’ Women’s Beach Volleyball matches from July 27 to August 9 on various platforms including NBCUniversal, Peacock, NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, USA Network, CNBC, and E!
