SINGAUTO makes its global debut in Abu Dhabi
SingAuto, based in Singapore, has been given the green light to commence the development of what will become “the world’s largest” commercial EV industrial district in Abu Dhabi, contributing to the growth of the UAE’s sustainable transportation landscape.
Chris Chen, representing SingAuto, mentioned that the construction process will kick off once the final regulatory approvals are in place, highlighting the UAE’s pivotal role in spearheading green energy initiatives and pioneering innovation in commercial electric vehicles.
Chen further emphasized, “The UAE is not just the economic and innovation hub of the Middle East; the country is spearheading the transition towards clean energy and high-tech industries, making it the perfect foundation for our ambitious project. Our commitment to sustainability and innovation, in alignment with the UAE’s objective of achieving 44% clean energy by 2050, will revolutionize the logistics industry.”
“Our goal is to establish a more sustainable, innovative, and efficient logistics ecosystem through cutting-edge technologies and global partnerships. We envision ourselves as the trusted partner, ensuring the long-term success of our clients.”
As seen in cities across the Middle East, like Tel Aviv, a noticeable improvement in air quality was observed when the municipality replaced diesel-fueled buses with an all-electric fleet. The first electric bus in Tel Aviv hit the streets back in 2013, signaling Israel’s pioneering advancements in technologies such as MobileEye.

Air Taxi, Dubai. A self-driving helicopter.
The aerial taxi in Dubai boasts autopilot or autonomous flying capabilities, allowing for the movement of passengers without the need for human intervention. The taxi is set to seamlessly integrate with various public transport systems in Dubai, offering a futuristic mode of transportation.
Additionally, SingAuto has unveiled plans to establish five manufacturing hubs globally, with the initial launch in China and the UAE, aiming to expand its presence on a global scale.
