There’s nothing quite like a one-pan dinner, and this One-Pan Orzo and Chicken Sausage recipe is a true winner. It’s not only easy to make but also a breeze to clean up afterwards! The dish is packed with flavor and is sure to please all your family and friends. It has become my go-to meal during busy weeks, and I find myself making it almost every week. The recipe is part of our One-Pot Series, and it’s just as delicious as it is simple to prepare. Even my toddler loves it, which is a huge plus! Chicken sausage is the star ingredient in this dish, adding tons of flavor without the need to cook raw meat. The combination of white onion, bella mushrooms, garlic, and green bell peppers adds depth and nutrition. Orzo pasta provides a delightful texture and absorbs all the delicious flavors. Tomato paste and diced tomatoes bring richness and freshness to the meal, while chicken broth infuses the dish with savory goodness. If you prefer using long-grain rice, simply follow the same instructions with adjustments to the quantities. Feel free to experiment with different vegetables or add-ins to customize the dish to your liking. This recipe can easily be made vegetarian by using vegetable broth and omitting the chicken sausage.
