Recently, while scrolling through Instagram, I came across a post from a popular health influencer I used to follow closely. What I saw stopped me in my tracks – she looked unwell, with sunken eyes and a skeletal appearance that did not seem healthy at all. The comments on her post echoed my concerns. It made me sad because I know she is a lovely person, but it also made me question: how do you know when you’ve gone too far in pursuit of health? Is there such a thing as being too healthy?

If you are ready to lose weight and heal your body for life without dieting, drugs, or misery, our free on-demand video training is here to guide you towards setting and achieving your health goals this year. You can access the training here.

It’s not easy to navigate the line between a determined health journey and an unhealthy obsession. Many have faced disapproval when starting to see success with health and weight loss goals. Whether it’s comments like “you’re too obsessive” or “you’ve lost too much weight,” it can be challenging to strike a balance.

I, Ruth Soukup, the founder of Thinlicious and creator of the Thin Adapted System, have experienced the struggle of being obsessive. While determination has led to success in business, it has also caused me challenges in my personal life. This obsession with health has led me to research extensively, leading me to learn a lot and raising questions about balancing healthy eating.

There is a fine line between a healthy pursuit of well-being and an unhealthy fixation on eating healthy foods. It’s easy to get swept up in conflicting advice and fear-mongering, restricting oneself to an unsustainable degree. This can have a negative impact on mental, emotional, and physical health, becoming a problem rather than a solution.

In today’s blog post, we will explore the dangers of orthorexia, how to recognize warning signs, and how to avoid falling into this trap. If you’re interested in a personalized approach to transforming your health, consider joining our Thin Adapted System program by registering for a free workshop here at Thinlicious.com/workshop. Let’s dive into the topic of orthorexia and the importance of finding balance in our health journey.
