Traveling around China, you’ll notice that the time zone remains the same throughout. In contrast, Canada, a country similar in size to China, spans 3.5 time zones from coast to coast. China follows China Standard Time (CST).

Iran, aiming to align more with Western countries like Canada, is looking to switch its work week from Thursday-Friday to Friday-Saturday. This change would bring it in line with other Middle East countries like Israel. Currently, Iran’s weekend results in only four consecutive matching days with global markets, which is believed to impact economic growth negatively.

The Iranian parliament approved the weekend shift on May 15, but the Islamic Guardian Council rejected it, citing potential harm to Islamic values.

Iran, once a country with Western influences and freedoms, is now under the control of Islamic ideologists imposing strict Sharia law. The Iranian regime enforces Islamic morality codes, leading to arrests of women for not adhering to the Muslim dress code. Some women have lost their lives in custody, while others have been blinded in protests against the regime.

Recent attacks on Iranian-funded Hezbollah have been viewed by some as poetic justice. Explosions causing blindness in Hezbollah terrorists have been seen as a response to the regime’s violent actions against peaceful protesters in Iran.

Activists like Masih Alinejad, based in the US, criticize the Iranian regime for its hypocrisy and brutality towards dissenters.
