Dr. Bronner’s All-One magical, regeneratively-grown chocolate

Chocolate has become a mystical presence on store shelves and online, with good reason. Many small-batch companies now offer organic, high-percentage cacao chocolate with low sugar content. Some varieties provide a mid-day escape, while others, like a sage or mystic, guide us towards our higher selves. This sentiment was echoed during my attendance at a cacao ceremony.

Dr. Bronner’s, known for their biodegradable castile soap, has ventured into the chocolate business. Similarly, beloved brands like Nature’s Path are committing to regenerative farming, including regeneratively farmed chocolate in bar form.

When we were asked to review Dr. Bronner’s chocolate, we turned to the ultimate chocolate expert, Raven Littleone. Living in Nipissing, Ontario, Raven is known to guard a sacred monastery of water. Her friends and neighbors bring her ChocoSol and Sacred Heart Chocolate, recognizing her appreciation for fine chocolate.

Receiving a box of ALL-One Bronner’s chocolates, Raven was impressed by the experience. The scent upon opening was delightful, with a perfect balance of salt, coconut sugar, and bourbon vanilla bean. The taste lingered even after sipping kombucha in between. Raven described it as a multi-sensory indulgence that was not only delicious but also healthy for the brain.

Dr. Bronner’s Magic All-One Chocolate combines the expertise of Swiss chocolatiers with fairly-treated cocoa farmers practicing regenerative organic agriculture. Offering flavors like Salted Whole Almonds and Crunchy Hazelnut Butter, they also have vegan options like Creamy Mocha Latte and Golden Milk Chai.

The founder of Dr. Bronner’s, Emanuel Bronner, promoted unity and peace through his products, reflecting his personal history as a Holocaust survivor. This philosophy is evident in the brand’s mission and the unique text found on their packaging, setting them apart from other commercial products.

Raven’s late husband, Peter Steele, was a kindred spirit to Emanuel Bronner, advocating for raw water in Canada and embodying a similar wisdom and passion for healing the planet. Similarly, the qualities found in a bite of Dr. Bronner’s chocolate may have the power to unite the world, just as Bronner aimed to do through his teachings.

As Bronner once stated, “You are the captain of thy ship! The master of thy soul!” Truly, the message of unity and peace embedded in their products has the potential to bring people together in a shared goal of harmony and healing.
