In the latest addition to the Marvel Universe, Dakota Johnson takes on the role of Madame Web, a powerful character who uses her strength and clairvoyance to battle evil forces. While you may not possess Madame Web’s psychic abilities, you can certainly train to achieve Johnson’s superhero strength by following her workout routine, courtesy of her trainer Megan Roup.

To prepare for her role, Johnson worked with Roup, the creator of The Sculpt Society (TSS), a fitness method that combines strengthening and sculpting exercises with dance cardio moves for a fun and effective workout using only body weight or simple props. Roup, a former professional dancer turned fitness instructor, developed TSS after feeling frustrated with the serious nature of New York City’s boutique fitness scene.

TSS includes elements of dance cardio, Pilates, and strength training, and can be done with or without equipment. Roup has built an online community of over 200K people, including Johnson, who has been a fan of TSS for years. Johnson incorporated in-person workouts with Roup alongside her online routine to prepare for her role as Madame Web.

Roup and Johnson trained two to three times a week in person, focusing on a 45-minute full-body workout. On days they weren’t together, Roup provided Johnson with video options on the TSS app, ranging from 20 to 40 minutes to accommodate her schedule and equipment availability.

Roup emphasizes the importance of consistency over intensity, encouraging shorter, more frequent workouts for better results. The Sculpt Society offers a variety of classes for all levels, including beginner options to help newcomers feel successful and confident in their fitness journey.

The workout routine favored by Johnson included dance cardio routines, which she enjoyed for their simplicity and meditative qualities. The repetitive movements allowed her to move to the beat of the music without overthinking, leading to a joyful and engaging workout experience.

Overall, The Sculpt Society proved to be a challenging yet enjoyable workout option, suitable for all fitness levels. Whether training for a superhero role or looking for a quick, effective workout, TSS offers a variety of classes to meet individual needs. Accessible online or through the app, TSS is available for a monthly fee of $19.99 or an annual subscription of $179.99.
