How to Make a Lavender Latte
- To make the lavender syrup: In a small saucepan, bring water to a simmer over medium-low heat. Add sugar and lavender and stir until
sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature (about 25-30 minutes). Using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth,
strain syrup, discarding lavender buds. Store syrup in the refrigerator for up to three weeks. - To make the latte: Make the espresso using an espresso machine, manual espresso maker, or French press. Pour into a small mug. Stir the
lavender simple syrup into the espresso. Steam the milk using an espresso machine or heat the milk then froth it using a milk frother or
whisk. Pour the milk into the espresso ending with a little foam. Optional: garnish with extra lavender buds.
