Tragically, just days after attributing his backache to a need for a new bed, 21-year-old Gerald Green from Paisley, Scotland, lost his life. His health rapidly deteriorated, but he hid his symptoms from his parents until he started coughing up blood.
Upon visiting the hospital, Gerald received a terminal diagnosis and was transferred to St Vincent’s Hospice for end-of-life care. He passed away just hours after arriving, leaving his family shattered.
