As people age, they often invest in treatments to enhance their looks, from makeup to cosmetic fillers and plastic surgery. However, these treatments can have associated dangers, as one woman found out four years after her procedure.
Desperation from Questionable Cosmetic Fillers
In 2022, neurologist Gina Anderson appeared on the reality show “Botched” after experiencing five unsuccessful surgeries to fix a negative reaction to cosmetic fillers. She initially opted for cosmetic fillers to look better just after her 40th birthday, only to realize four years later that the fillers injected into her cheeks were actually made of silicone, causing severe health problems.
Despite undergoing multiple procedures to fix the issue, Gina turned to doctors Dr. Paul Nassif and Dr. Terry Dubrow for help. They were astounded by the delay in the negative effects of the fillers and performed two more procedures to help her.
Working to Find a Solution
After undergoing the necessary procedures, Gina’s pain has gone away, and she is grateful for the chance to reclaim her life. She has since moved past the cosmetic fillers disaster, and her energy level has increased, and her mood has improved.
Alternatives to Cosmetic Fillers
While it’s important to love ourselves, there are safer alternatives to cosmetic fillers, such as regular facials, chemical peels, and products containing Hyaluronic acid and Retinol. Maintaining overall health with a diet rich in vitamins and nutrients is also beneficial for healthy, vibrant skin.
