The recently concluded symposium titled “Islamic Architectural Heritage of Shusha City” in Azerbaijan, organized by the Shusha City State Reserve Department and supported by ICESCO, showcased the unique architectural significance of Shusha.
This event, held as part of Shusha’s designation as the “Cultural Capital of the Islamic World” for 2024, brought together over 80 architects from various countries including Türkiye, Egypt, the UAE, Tunisia, and more.
Distinguished speakers highlighted the historical and cultural importance of Shusha’s architecture, emphasizing the contribution of the symposium to the development of Islamic architectural practices.
The symposium included discussions on urban regeneration, modern preservation of historical sites, and sustainable architecture practices.
