This year, I’ve logged 108 runs covering 541.1 miles, and like many runners, I have my go-to sneaker brands. Hoka, Brooks, New Balance—these are my trusted companions for training and recovery. But Alo? Known for luxe athleisure, the brand has now entered the running shoe market with the all-terrain Alo Runner ($185). I put them to the test on trail, treadmill, and road.
The Alo Runner exceeded my expectations. Stylish, comfortable, and versatile, they performed well on all terrains. Despite lacking some bounce and not being as supportive for long distances, they are perfect for shorter runs and speed workouts. Overall, the Alo Runner impressed this seasoned runner.
