Ingredients
BAKED APPLES
- 2 Apple Pie Quest Bars
- 5 fuji apples
- 1 tbsp zero calorie brown sugar
- Pinch salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ⅓ cup chopped pecans
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350 F and cut the Quest bars into small pieces and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 5 minutes. Let cool completely.
- Once cooled, place the pieces into a food processor or blender and blend until small crumbles form.
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, stir together the bar pieces, sweetener, salt, cinnamon and chopped pecans.
- Add in the melted butter and combine.
- Cut the tops off of the apples and use a melon baller to scoop out the center. Fill each apple with the crumble mixture.
- Increase the oven heat to 400F cover the apples with tin foil and bake for 15-18 minutes.
- Serve warm with low calorie ice cream if desired.
