The Fit Foodie Cooking Club is a monthly cooking challenge designed to inspire you to cook from scratch. Each month, we all come together to make the same recipe and celebrate real food as a community.

October 2024 – The Details

Protein balls and monster cookies are two of our favorite things, and when combined, they create an epic high-protein snack that everyone will love. These monster cookie protein balls feature all-natural peanut butter, oats, chocolate chips, M&Ms, chia seeds, and vanilla protein powder. You can easily customize this recipe to be gluten-free or plant-based to suit your dietary needs.

If you’re feeling festive, you can even add googly eyes to make them Halloween-themed!

All About Monster Cookie Protein Balls

  • Peanut Butter: All-natural peanut butter is used in this recipe, but any nut butter will work.
  • Protein Powder: Choose a vanilla protein powder that you enjoy the taste of as it adds flavor and sweetness.
  • Rolled Oats: These provide whole grains and texture to the protein balls.
  • Chia Seeds: A nutritional boost to the recipe.
  • Honey: Provides natural sweetness and helps hold the balls together.
  • Vanilla Extract: Enhances the peanut butter flavor.
  • Mini Chocolate Chips and Mini M&Ms: Classic monster cookie ingredients that add sweetness and color.

How to Make Monster Cookie Protein Balls

  1. Add all ingredients to a bowl.
  2. Mix to combine, adding water as needed to reach a cookie dough consistency.
  3. Roll into balls using a cookie scoop.
  4. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
