
Microsoft invests in Arab-made AI
UAE-based AI company G42 has partnered with US chipmaker Nvidia to develop advanced AI solutions for climate technology, focusing on enhancing global weather forecasting accuracy. This collaboration follows Microsoft’s $1.5 billion investment in G42 earlier this year.
Under this partnership, the two companies will establish a climate tech lab and operational base in Abu Dhabi, showcasing the UAE’s growing investments in artificial intelligence.
Abu Dhabi, through initiatives like Masdar and IRENA, positions itself as a reliable partner and East-West connection for US tech firms looking to enter the Middle East. In contrast, Saudi Arabia’s questionable sustainability projects like “The Line” fail to attract interest.
